What type of password should I use for my XDEFI Wallet, my backup file and/or my keystore file?

A strong password includes :
    A minimum of 8 characters
    At least one uppercase letter
    At least one lowercase letter
    At least one number
    At least one special character
⚠️ Password may not contain sequences of three or more repeated characters
⚠️ We recommend avoiding the use of existing words / names
Example of an acceptable password (minimum requirements): [email protected]`
In the event of a dictionary/ brute force attack, the longer and more complex your password, the more resistant it will be.
⚠️ Your password must be unique, specific to your XDEFI Wallet

Where should I save my password ?

Save your password in an encrypted password manager file, itself located on an external & offline device, it is a good practice.

How do I access my wallet if I forget my password?

If you have forgotten or lost your XDEFI Wallet password, you will have to repeat the onboarding process and re-import your XDEFI Wallet:
. With its secret phrase
. With a global backup file (if you have defined a different password for it)
It's also possible to create a new XDEFI wallet and to import your first wallet into XDEFI Wallet:
. With its secret phrase
. With its keystore file (if you have defined a different password for it)
